According to the latest buzz, filmmaker Karan Johar, who is known to be one of SRK’s closest friends, and also seems to be quite fond of Ranbir, had approached the young heartthrob with three scripts to be made under the Dharma banner. And in one of them, Karan wanted to cast SRK and Ranbir together.
Just when heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor was being likened to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, the Kapoor scion has refused to work with the latter.
Well, believe it or not, but despite the fact that the script is said to be impressive, Ranbir has turned down the offer. Sources reveal that Ranbir has told Karan that he isn’t doing two-hero projects at the moment, and so he would much rather put this project on hold.
A source close to the actor maintains, “SRK is leagues ahead of Ranbir. And a filmmaker who casts these two actors together will naturally be more partial to SRK. Also, chances are that SRK will steal Ranbir’s thunder if they come together now. While Ranbir respects Shah Rukh’s success and talent, he is still not ready to take up the challenge of being seen with him on screen as yet. The day Ranbir feels he can match up to King Khan, he will do a film with him.”
