Latest news has it that the brilliant trio – Vidhu Vinod Chopra, director Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijaat Joshi can’t find a way to take the Munnabhai sequel ahead. Sanjay Dutt (Munnabhai) and Arshad Warsi (Circuit) often say that the third part is under way but according to an insider, “No Munnabhai film is even being written.”“Since Raju and Vinod had to can the ‘Munnabhai Chale Amrika’ script after their idea was used in Karan Johar’s ‘My Name in Khan’, these two filmmakers have mentally drawn the curtains on Munnabhai. They see no way to keep this character alive,” says a source.
Moreover, the trio is busy with their respective projects. Vidhu Vinod Chopra will start his ‘Broken Horses’ in September this year while Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi are busy likewise with other scripts.
Earlier, there were speculations that Sanjay Dutt looks to old to play Munnabhai, so the filmmakers are having second thoughts on casting him again.
Whatever may be the reason but it is very likely that it may be good-bye time for Munnabhai and Circuit!
